Our methods are chemically superior to the standard. They cost US more. The way that hair color is mixed when purchased for home use is not too different from what they do in the best and worst of salons. We see many typical color problems disappear by using a much richer mix of pigment, less developer in the proper strength and buffers, which protect the hair and the skin. Each hair color formula made here for you is a custom blend of up to 15 different lines and 5 different types of hair colors. We believe that one single line, brand or manufacturer of color offers too few choices for us to create a natural looking, long lasting, vibrant and shiny color. Our numerous and varied techniques make this kind of color a ture thing of beauty. We hold ourselves to the highest standards in our methods while striving to be a friendly and casual place to visit.
COLOR ZEN™ (my invention) is combined into every color formula exclusively here in the salon. COLOR ZEN™ is a moisturizing color additive that prevents fade, skin stain, and among many other things eliminates discomfort at the scalp during processing. Our combination of Color Concentration™ and Color Zen™ improves hair condition by 50% to 80% over conventional haircoloring methods.
In addition, we are the only salon in Michigan that offers air-neutralized permanents and that will custom mix the neutralizer just for you, making you love your perm from the first day.
We practice our art with constant education by giving and taking classes and advanced training. Kathy Partin, BCH founder of Haircolor Experts & More has been in the cosmetic, hair coloring industry for over 35 years.
She is a Subject Matter Expert for the American Board of Certified Haircolorists [one of only 60], and a board certified haircolorist. Also an award winning International stylist, accomplished platform artist, speaker, salon owner, independent hair color educator who conducts two-day seminars. She has a DVD called Color Concentration™ and developed an innovative additive called Color Zen™
She is in the process of starting a company to sell her formula to buffer and improve hair color to all users of hair color. She teaches classes year after year for the prestigious ABCH Energizing Summit, America's Beauty Show and in salons all over the country and is mentoring many colorists. She answers questions about hair color on the Internet weekly. She brings considerable talent and experience to your visit.
Bridgette Trakul, BCH [ Bridge – Jet ] has been a client at Haircolor Experts & More since she was in middle school. Having grown up in and near the best hair color salon in the country, her leanings toward this profession were natural.

A Word About Our Hair Coloring
The history, art and chemistry of hair coloring go
back far in time. Yup, those pesky gray hairs and dark roots have bugged
women (and men) since the invention of the mirror. Without giving away
all our secrets we want you to know how wonderful the color we use happens
to be. This is not 'drugstore' hair color or one simple 'brand name' salon
color. Each and every formula we make is custom made to order for you.
We use a full color spectrum by mixing several different lines of color,
never just one. Four or five buffers are added to each formula to protect
the condition of your
hair, your scalp, skin and the color itself. Our method of pigment layering
and combination is unique to us alone (I found out on the Internet that
we really stand alone in the field of quality)!
